Highlight the text you want to transform in any app.

Hold the Magic Edit hotkey and speak
- Windows: Hold Ctrl+Win+Alt+Enter and speak your instruction — for example, “make this more formal” or “fix the grammar.” Release when done.
- macOS: Hold Fn+Ctrl and speak your instruction — for example, “make this more formal” or “fix the grammar.” Release when done.

AI rewrites the text
Scout sends the selected text and your instruction to AI, which returns the edited version. The original text is replaced with the result.
