Pulse is a small floating indicator that appears near the bottom-right of your screen. It shows when Scout is listening, processing, or idle.

Click to dictate

Click the idle Pulse icon to start a push-to-talk dictation session, just like holding the dictation hotkey. Double-click to reset Pulse back to the bottom-right corner if you’ve moved it.

Showing and hiding

Pulse is on by default. You can toggle it in Settings → General → Pulse. When Pulse is hidden, dictation still works normally via hotkeys — the indicator is purely visual.
If Pulse gets stuck in an unexpected position, double-click it to snap it back to the bottom-right corner of your screen.
