Supported platforms

Hardware
| Resource | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Microphone | Built-in or external. USB or 3.5mm recommended over Bluetooth — see Audio Settings. |
| Internet | Required for speech-to-text streaming. A stable connection with low latency gives the best results. |
Permissions
- Windows: Microphone access — required for capturing audio.
- macOS: Microphone access — required for capturing audio. Accessibility — required for text injection and hotkey detection. Scout can’t type into apps without this.
