Open any text field

Click into any app where you’d normally type — a document, email, chat window, code editor, search bar, anything.

Hold your dictation hotkey

Hold Ctrl+Shift.
You’ll see a visual indicator confirming Scout is listening.

Speak naturally

Talk at a normal pace. Scout transcribes in real time. You can say voice commands inline — “Hello comma how are you question mark” produces Hello, how are you?

Release to inject

Let go of the hotkey. Scout pastes the transcribed text at your cursor position.
