How it works

Punctuation commands attach directly to the preceding word with no extra space. The next word after the punctuation starts with normal spacing. Scout handles this automatically — you don’t need to think about spacing. Punctuation commands work best at natural boundaries — after a word, at a pause, or alongside other commands. In some cases, saying a punctuation word mid-sentence may be transcribed as text rather than converted to a symbol.
